Residential Landscape Design and Consultation:
Consultation and Birmingham landscape design can be from 1 hour to 10 hours. Drawings (if necessary) are drawn to scale at the client's house with pencil on paper. Accuracy is extremely important so at least one hour is usually required for accurate base map construction. This method of landscape design and drawing at the client's house has been developed over a period of years as the most efficient way to produce an accurate residential drawing. The client has input into every element of the plan so that at the end of the landscape design session, we have a complete plan to the owners specifications. We do charge for consultation and design. Please call me for current rates. Based in the Birmingham area, we are happy to travel to most areas in Alabama.
Cost Estimating and Bidding:
Once a drawing is complete it is left with the client as they own it. They get a copy to me via USPS and I can price it. Estimating landscape design is based on a comprehensive spreadsheet that encompasses all known and estimated costs. There is no charge for estimating projects we have designed.
Landscape Design & Construction:
All landscape design projects depicted in this website have been designed and built by John Russell Landscape Architect and his crew. We have one crew and build one project at a time from start to finish. We do not leave the job to jump around to other projects. When we leave, the job is picture perfect and cleaned pristine. We do strive for perfection. Our crew is made of 4 men who have all been with us for years. We have virtually no employee turnover thus insuring the client gets the best trained crew possible.
